Unable to apply patches/updates !

I have issues with Assassin's Creed games they won't work after the UbiSoft logo appears it shows error 'ACRSP.exe or whatever game exe it is has stopped working' (happens with AC : Brotherhood, AC 2, AC 3, AC : Revelations; AC 1, AC : Liberation HD, AC : Chronicles China work fine).
So I downloaded all the patches (from gamershell) of AC : Brotherhood and the crack, and tried to apply/install it on, but it shows error 'Installation folder not found - setup/installation will be aborted' or something like that. So, I am unable to patch the game.
Need help to solve this.
P.S. : I have tried installing patch when setup of patch is 'in the game directory/folder', but same issue persists.
I have all available patches of AC : Brotherhood, and crack for the latest patch.
