Alternative to PeerBlock that's free

Just noticed that PeerBlock is going to subscription only. Been using this for years. Most people says it's useless anyway but I've always felt more comfortable having it surfing and when using my torrent program which is much less then I use to. What are you guys using other then VPN services that charge, or is that the only alternative anymore. Thanks.
